Before retiring from Bath Gateway Out & About in 2024, Becky had worked to support people with learning difficulties for well over 30 years - including being the original club leader of the Bath Junior Gateway club, before it was taken over by Bath Mencap Society a few years ago.
Becky noticed that, after the club members of the Bath Junior Gateway club had to leave due to their age turning 18, they often could find no other local charities in Bath to support them with alternative adult activities or opportunities. So as a result, in September 2009, Becky decided to create a new club "Bath Gateway Out & About" to provide fun and exciting activities and events, open to all learning disabled adults in the Bath area.
We would like to extend our huge thanks to Becky for all the work she has done in the past, to support people with learning difficulties in Bath and the surrounding areas.
