Eleanor
I have lived in Bath for six years and love the city. I like going for long walks, seeing bands, upcycling furniture, and visiting museums and art galleries. I think a lot of the joy of volunteering comes from the people you meet and work with. There is the satisfaction of knowing that you are having a positive effect on your local community and I have also learnt many new skills volunteering over the years, but I think it always comes back to the people. |

Lorna I really like seeing all the members enjoying the activities and getting to join in with them. It’s really good getting to go somewhere different every week and to support the club members experience new activities. I so love volunteering at Bath Gateway Out and About because I get to have fun every week with the club members. |

Megan I joined three years ago on the recommendation of a friend, and I love it. Just to see the smiles and make the members laugh and have a good time is incredibly rewarding. |

I have been a volunteer at Bath Gateway Out and About for nearly eight years and have really got to become friends with our members, to see the happiness on their faces its indescribable. I have watched our members growing in confidence and thrive in a positive and uplifting atmosphere. I love volunteering and I love everyone to bits! |

It’s a really positive thing to do each week supporting the members who themselves are great fun to hang out with. It’s genuinely something I look forward to each week as it’s very enriching and mood enhancing. The members clearly really enjoy the sessions which is so much fun to be around. |
